Danny Amendola, Patriots Agree to New Contract: Latest Comments and Reaction

The New England Patriots and wide receiver Danny Amendola reportedly agreed to a restructured contract Friday, according to Mike Garafolo of Fox Sports 1. It's a two-year deal worth $7.35 million with $750,000 available in roster bonuses and incentives.
Garafolo also provided a statement from the wideout: "It's an honor to play for this franchise and with this group of guys. We have one goal—to win another championship and that's all we care about."
Amendola, 30, caught 65 passes for 648 yards and three touchdowns in 2015 and currently projects as the team's No. 2 receiver in 2016.
He would have counted $6.5 million against the cap, and the Patriots added Nate Washington and Chris Hogan this offseason to a talented group of players in the passing game, including tight ends Rob Gronkowski and Martellus Bennett, running back Dion Lewis, and fellow wideout Julian Edelman.
