The Eagles lost. The season is over.
And any time a team loses a postseason game by just five points, one or two plays could have changed the entire game.
The goats in the Eagles’ 21-16 loss to the Green Bay Packers:
 
Goat No. 1, David Akers
You cost the Philadelphia Eagles a postseason win.
No, you weren’t the only goat of the game.
But your two missed field goals should haunt you for the rest of your career. Make both kicks and the Eagles win the game. It’s as simple as that.
This isn’t the first time you’ve cost the Eagles a postseason victory either. In the 2008 NFC championship game against Arizona, you missed an extra point and a field goal.
The Eagles lost the game, 32-25, and could have played the entire fourth quarter differently had they needed just a field goal instead of a touchdown.
You know what? I’ve said for years and years and years and years and years that Akers is anything but...
