David Buehler: Is He The Right Choice For the Cowboys?

He can kick the air out of the ball. We learned that last year when he set a franchise record for most touchbacks in a season with 29.
The question is, can David Buehler kick the ball through the uprights?
He has never attempted a field goal in his professional career, but looking at his stats from his college days one would think he could.  
He made 26 of 33 field goals while at the University of Southern California, including every kick from inside of 30 yards and six of 11 from 40-plus yards. His career long was a 49-yard field goal his sophomore year.  
That 79 percent is the same percentage that Nick Folk had during his three years as the Cowboys' kicker, including his 2007 Pro Bowl year. The difference is, Buehler did it in college, which one could argue is tougher to do due to the wider hash marks.
It is also far better than the 64.5 percent that the Cowboys kickers kicked last season, making 21 of 30 kicks attempted.
