David Wilson’s Article Cites Warren Wells as a Prototype Wide Receiver

Touching the lives of others has been a part of my career for more than 40 years. The idea of contributing to the lives of others was taught to me at home and at Texas Southern University. As a member of the Raider Nation I sometimes take time out to visit with a senior former Oakland Raider whose love for the game and for the Oakland Raiders has not faded away.
One of the Bleacher writers for whom I have a lot of respect made reference to a classification of Warren Wells as a prototype wide receiver for the Oakland Raiders. It seems he also was one of Al Davis's top choices to enter the game when things would get tight and tough.
Wells delivered, catching balls almost perfectly with those hands that took the wear and tear of the impact of an NFL football.
Since many of the balls that Wells embraced with those hands were thrown by the "Mad Bomber" Daryl Lamonica you can bet that Wells' hands were both flexible and strong to grasp the football and grab more...
