DeAngelo Williams Day-To-Day With Sprained Foot, Limited in Practice This Week

Carolina Panthers running back DeAngelo Williams sprained his foot late in Sunday’s 23-20 win over the 49ers, and he is listed as day-to-day, according to head coach John Fox.

The injury is not believed to be serious, and he will likely be limited in practice this week as a precaution.

The Panthers’ running game has struggled in 2010 after featuring one of the most dynamic tandems in the league in 2009 in Williams and Jonathan Stewart.

This year, Williams has 361 rushing yards through six games after amassing 1,117 yards last year. He is averaging 4.1 yards per carry with just one touchdown.

Stewart has not fared much better with 148 yards and one touchdown, averaging three yards per carry after his 1,133-yard season last year.
