Dee Milliner Released by Jets: Latest Details, Comments and Reaction

As part of their cutdown to a 53-man roster Saturday, the New York Jets parted ways with former first-round cornerback Dee Milliner. 
NFL Network's Ian Rapoport was the first to report Milliner's departure, and Manish Mehta of the New York Daily News confirmed the move.
The Jets took Milliner with the No. 9 overall selection in the 2013 NFL draft out of Alabama, but inconsistent play and injuries relegated him to a niche role within New York's defense.
Milliner started 12 games as a rookie and finished that campaign with 56 combined tackles, 15 passes defended and three interceptions, but his production went downhill from there.
The 24-year-old has appeared in a total of just eight games over the past two seasons, registering seven combined tackles and no picks during that time.
