Jeter's newly-expired contract was for 10 years and $189 million, but Jeter is now 37 years old. Is six years too long for the aging champ?
Derek Jeter has been one of the biggest names in Major League Baseball for years, but he seems to be taking a back seat as the Yankees try to work out contract negotiations with former Texas Rangers pitcher Cliff Lee.
Lee led the Rangers to the World Series, and he is the hottest commodity in baseball at the moment.
