Former Browns quarterback Derek Anderson was an All-Pro in 2007.
With a strong running back in Jamal Lewis and talented pass catchers in Braylon Edwards, Kellen Winslow Jr., and Joe Jurevicius, Anderson amassed great stats and led Cleveland to the brink of a playoff appearance.
Every Browns fan knows what followed.
Anderson was summarily dismissed and left in a huff.
DA now finds himself with a chance to compete for a starting job in Arizona. He will compete with Matt Leinart, who has yet to be able to prove he is ready for the job.
If Anderson has a strong running game (Beanie Wells and Tim Hightower) behind him and a stellar receiving corps in Larry Fitzgerald, Steve Breaston, and Early Doucet to throw to, can he return to form?
Arizona's Kurt Warner was sacked 24 times last year in 15 starts. That is as much as Anderson in the past two seasons. In 2007, Anderson only took 14 sacks.
