Desmond Bishop Continues Push for Playing Time with Green Bay Packers

Desmond Bishop is once again becoming the Packers' August MVP.  He has led the team in preseason tackles in two of his first three years in the league and has been the biggest playmaker of camp so far.
Bishop lit up rookie tight end Andrew Quarless when he tried to haul in a pass over the middle of the field.  Later on, he also snagged an interception.
Despite past offseason success, Bishop hasn't translated that production into regular season success.  The main reason for that being a lack of playing time.
With Nick Barnett and AJ Hawk starting at inside linebacker and Brandon Chillar as the "sixth man"-type backup, Bishop mostly played in the Packers' five-linebacker "psycho" package.
A strong preseason may make it tough to keep him off the field this season.  He's only 26 and is constantly improving his game.
