Detroit Lions Safety Louis Delmas Could Miss 2010 Season

Say it isn’t so!
Rumors are swirling that Detroit Lions safety Louis Delmas might need surgery on his injured groin and could miss the 2010 season.
The injury was first suffered during offseason activities.
It is important to note that these are strictly rumors and nothing official has come from the Detroit Lions.
I saw Delmas at Lions practice yesterday and he was walking around without a limp.
He even stopped and chatted with fans while signing autographs.
That said, an injured groin is more painful when cutting from side to side as opposed to walking straight.
Profootballtalk.com did stress that a source with close knowledge to the situation said that Delmas is still expected to be ready for the start of the season.
The Lions were already having trouble filling the safety spot opposite Delmas, so losing him would be a debilitating blow to the secondary.
