Quinn Meets with Easley Thursday, April 21 Atlanta Falcons head coach Dan Quinn, who coached Easley during his time with the Florida Gators, met with the free agent Thursday, though they did not strike a deal, according to Vaughn McClure of ESPN.com.
Quinn was the defensive coordinator at Florida in 2011 and 2012, which were Easley's best two years in college, as he recorded 16 tackles for loss and 5.5 sacks.
The Patriots drafted Easley 29th overall in 2014, but he recorded only three sacks in two years before the Patriots released him April 13.
The 6'2", 285-pound defensive tackle could be a project for a team looking to add depth on the interior of the defensive line. Easley's best years came under Quinn, so it would make sense for Atlanta to consider a low-risk, high-reward signing...
