Donovan McNabb Benching Leads to Workout For JaMarcus Russell

Redskins offensive coordinator Kyle Shanahan did his best to explain what happened with Donovan McNabb being benched during the fourth quarter of the Redskins loss to the Lions.
According to Kyle Shanahan, McNabb had been hampered by bad hamstrings and was told in advance that he could be pulled at any time.
JaMarcus Russell was among a few quarterbacks who got a workout for the team on Tuesday, according to the Associated Press.
When asked about Russell's performance assistant coach Shanahan had this to say:
"I don't think you consider anyone just based off of talent. Everyone in the NFL's pretty talented. (It's) other stuff that really separates you. He is very talented, so I think he can overcome some of the stuff that he struggled with.
