Don’t be shocked if the Hawks and Eagles swap selections at No. 6 and No. 24 if Eric Berry is on the board at No. 6.
1. Hawks and Eagles have trade history.
Besides the Ruskell dealings with Philly (trade for Josh Parry and trade to acquire Deon Butler), Pete and John just worked the recent deal for Clemons and a fourth rounder for Tapp.
Philly is obviously on speed dial with a seemingly quality trade relationship with us. The trade history does have meaning.
2. Eagles have a history of trading their first round selections.
Since 2003, the Eagles have traded up or down in the first round in seven of the past eight seasons. With that history, you’d have to bank on Philly trading their first round selection. Add to the fact that Philly already has two second and third rounders, the higher probability would be that Philly will use those incremental selections to move up to improve their suddenly weak secondary.
