Eagles vs. Bears: Michael Vick Should Have Run More Against Chicago

For the first time this season, Michael Vick was on the losing end of a game in which he started and completed. In the loss, Vick was 29-of-44 passing for 333 yards with two touchdowns and an interception. He also had nine rushes for 44 yards.
The Bears played their safeties very deep all day, taking away the long-ball threat for the Eagles. Vick has had a lot of success connecting on the long ball with both DeSean Jackson and Jeremy Maclin, but that option was simply taken away. On the day, Vick’s longest completion came on a 30-yard touchdown strike to Brent Celek.
Vick also saw a lot of pressure throughout the game. The Bears' front four did a good job of getting in the backfield that meant they did not have to send a lot of blitz packages. With the Bears consistently getting pressure, Vick was unable to sit in the pocket and had to try to make a lot of plays on the run.
