When the Philadelphia Eagles and Dallas Cowboys meet in Week 17 for the final Sunday Night Football game of the year, everything will be on the line. It's simple for both teams: The NFC East crown and a trip to the playoffs belongs to the squad that emerges victorious.
Each of these teams have had roller-coaster seasons.
The Eagles got off to a slow start, winning just three of their first eight games. However, they were able to right the ship, as they have now won six of their last seven.
The Cowboys, on the other hand, have been up and down all season, hovering right around the .500 mark for most of the year.
The last time these two teams met—a Week 7 contest in Philadelphia—the Cowboys lackluster defense somehow rendered an explosive Eagles offense ineffective, allowing just three points.
