Emmanuel Sanders Contract: Latest News and Rumors on Negotiations with Broncos

Emmanuel Sanders is hoping to extend his time with the Denver Broncos, but the impending free agent will need a new contract to do so.

Receiver Hopeful for Extension Sunday, Sept. 4 Sanders, who is set to become a free agent at the end of the season, and the Broncos have yet to come to an agreement. Still, the receiver is planning on staying with the team if it provides the contract he feels he deserves.
"I am still hopeful," Sanders said of a potential new deal, per Troy E. Renck of Denver7 ABC.
One twist in the negotiations was the four-year, $42 million extension the Los Angeles Rams and receiver Tavon Austin agreed to in August. 
Broncos general manager John Elway admitted that deal will impact Sanders' negotiations.
"The only thing that changed there was the other contract, Tavon Austin. We're moving in the right direction," Elway said, per Renck. "They're looking at that, but no, nothing has changed."
