Enabling Bad Behavior: The Acquisition of Antonio Cromartie

Why are the New York Jets enabling the likes of Antonio Cromartie?
What employer would hire someone who's been named in five paternity suits in the last two years?
The 19th pick out of Florida State by the San Diego Chargers in 2006, Cromartie just received a $500,000 advance from his new team to assist him in the payment of child support for nine children he's fathered with eight different women living in five states!
While this is not a judgment of the personal choices made by Mr Cromartie, why would the Jets enable such a situation after the fact Cromartie has a $12.5 million dollar contract of which $7.35 million was guaranteed dollars?
From a business perspective, is this a risk the Jets need to take?
In the real world, could you imagine any employee strolling down to HR and asking for a pay advance because you fathered nine children with eight women (As per Wikipedia )?
Would such a person even qualify for health benefits in any tradit...
