Evan Mathis Injury: Updates on Cardinals OG’s Foot and Return

Arizona Cardinals guard Evan Mathis was carted off the field in the team's Sunday night loss to the New England Patriots with a left foot injury, according to Darin Gantt of Pro Football Talk.

Mathis' Status Remains Unclear Following Injury Monday, Sept. 12 Head coach Bruce Arians said after the game, “We will wait to see on Evan’s foot," per Jess Root of Cards Wire. Adam Caplan of ESPN reported that Mathis will have an MRI on Monday to determine the severity of the injury. 
At one point in the contest, Mathis did return to the game, though he was unable to continue. His loss was a big one, as Pro Football Focus rated him as the best offensive player for the Cardinals in the contest:
