This upcoming football season is influx with new young talent at key positions. With the pass-happy trend the NFL has taken, RBs are at all time premium in the early rounds. Many teams are now reaching early for the best QB and WR simply because outside of the first-tier RBs, the talent drop-off is larger than it was in previous years.
Players like Tennessee Titans' RB Chris Johnson and Minnesota Vikings' RB Adrian Peterson are the consensus first overall picks. With every selection after the first pick, the decisions get tougher and will likely determine the success or failure of a fantasy football team.
