Malcom Floyd—San Diego Chargers
With the departure of wide receiver Vincent Jackson, quarterback Phillip Rivers will be looking for somewhere to successfully throw the football.
Week 1 shapes up very nicely for that target to be receiver Malcom Floyd.
The Chargers will be facing the Kansas City Chiefs in Week 1, a team that allowed 230 yards per game through the air last season. There’s no doubt the Chargers will look to exploit this weakness in the Chiefs’ defense.
Another advantage for receiver Malcom Floyd will be the height advantage. Kansas City is known for its short corners on defense, so the 6' 5" Floyd should have no problem going up top on plays and winning the jump balls.
Projected Stats: five receptions, 85 yards, one touchdown.
