Brandon Jackson, RB Green Bay Packers
Attention fantasy owners: this is your waiver wire pickup of the week. After Ryan Grant's horrific ankle & leg injuries in Week One that will sideline him through the remainder of the season, Jackson is the new lead pony of the potent Pack attack.
The former second-round pick out of Nebraska will look to solidify his roll in the offense as the team will be lined up against a miserable Buffalo team in Week Two. Jackson should have no problem finding some holes in the Detroit defense and could even find himself in the end zone when all is said and done.
Michael Vick, QB Philadelphia Eagles
I'm in a ten team keeper league and my fellow owners mocked me when I took Vick with my 11th round pick, but I'm feeling pretty good about it right about now. Even before starter Kevin Kolb had to exit (concussion), he looked lost running the offense and it's clear that the team played better with Vick on the field.
