Fantasy Football Week 5: Waiver Wire Pickups

October is in full swing, and it seems fantasy rosters continue to be blown apart by injuries and ineffective play. Those can’t-miss stars are falling, and fantasy owners are in need of quality help on the bench to get through the bye weeks. This week, the Patriots, Dolphins, Steelers, and Seahawks are all off.
We have one quarterback, three running backs, a receiver, and a kicker on our waiver wire. Of all the waiver wire options, it is Redskins running back Ryan Torain that you need to pay the most attention to, as he may be the team's starting tailback for the rest of the season.
 
Quarterbacks
Kevin Kolb—Michael Vick suffered a rib injury against the Redskins, and this makes Kevin Kolb an obvious choice to pick up for bye week help. The Eagles are facing the 49ers, and they should put up a good fight against them.
Still, Kolb could have a decent game, as San Francisco is prone to playing bad games and turning the football over. This ...
