Fantasy Power Rankings: Maurice Jones-Drew

June 4, 2010   ·     ·   Jump to comments

Maurice Jones-Drew was as advertised last season, in almost all formats he was a top three fantasy back.
He set career highs in many categories, including carries (312) yards (1,392) and rushing TDs (15).
While his receiving stats didn't improve like his rushing stats, they were still pretty solid.
Jones-Drew caught the second most passes of his career (53), but he had his lowest receiving yards total of his career (374) and just one receiving TD.
Jones-Drew is young, durable, and very consistent and will be a fantasy stud for years to come. He is an every down back for the Jags and his receiving stats just add to his already impressive rushing stats.
This year should see more of the same from MJD.
He's ranked in the top three in virtually every 2010 fantasy draft rankings.
In closing, if you're looking for someone to carry the load for your fantasy team this season, Maurice Jones-Drew is your guy.
