For Denver Broncos, Tim Tebow’s On-Field Impact Will Be Immediate

Football is a game of inches. Games are usually won and lost in short-yardage situations. Even those pesky third-and-short situations, when the offense is nowhere close to scoring position, can be game clinching factors.
Teams that can keep drives alive, even if they don't score, greatly improve their chances of winning through ball control and milking the clock.
The good teams are the ones that consistently win the short-yardage battles, be it with great coaching, or more often, with good old-fashioned power in the trenches.
Denver was very bad in short yardage situations last year. Offensively, they were a complete joke, and defensively, they were a bit south of acceptable; a great formula for losing close games.
McDaniels and Co. have addressed the Broncos' defensive woes by signing three veteran lineman to battle it out in the trenches, the "thinking inside of the box" type of approach to fixing the problem.
