For Rex Ryan and The New York Jets, Choking is Not an Option

For the New York Jets, failure is not an option.
Forget about all their talk about going to the Super Bowl.
Forget about all their talk about being the best team in the NFL.
For now, all that will have to take a backseat to winning this week at Heinz Field in Pittsburgh.
If they fail, the Jets will extend their losing streak and jeopardize a trip to the playoffs after leading the AFC for most of the 2010 season.
NFL teams are defined by good ownership, talented quarterbacks and a solid coaching. Thus, this week's game is about three people—Woody Johnson, Mark Sanchez and Rex Ryan.
What takes place on the field will be determined by what standard Rex Ryan sets for his team this week in practice as they prepare for battle with the Steelers.
Rex Ryan needs to stop making excuses for his underachieving team by implementing some tough love on a squad that lacks direction and discipline very late in the season.
