Athletes are known to say some wild things in the heat of the moment during games. Most of it is just trash talk and is not meant to be taken seriously.
However, former Tennessee Titans cornerback Ryan Mouton claims he once had an on-field exchange with Aaron Hernandez that resulted in the then-New England Patriots tight end threatening to kill him.
Mouton used Instagram to share a "Throwback Thursday" picture of him standing over Hernandez after a big hit, per Chris Yuscavage of Complex:
Mouton posted the following caption (along with some laughing emojis) to go with the photo: "#TBT that time I popped a killer helmet off and told him he can see me whenever, he replied I'll kill u and little did I know."
Here's the play Mouton is referring to. (Warning: Video contains NSFW language.)

Last month, Hernandez was found guilty of first-degree murder in the death of Odin Lloyd. He currently faces charges from a 2012 double homicide.
