Last week, Fox commentator Tucker Carlson created national headlines when he publicly stated that he thinks Philadelphia Eagles quarterback Michael Vick should be executed for killing dogs.
Today, Carlson appeared back on Sean Hannity’s show. He had the following to say:
“Anybody who looks into how he mistreated these dogs and personally tortured them to death gets upset and I overspoke. I’m not comfortable with the death penalty under any circumstances. Of course I don’t think he should be executed.”
Carlson went on to say, “But I do think what he did is truly appalling.”
Carlson also added that he “has a lot of doubts” on Vick’s true intentions. He said that child molesters don’t get a second chance and the President was still wrong to praise Vick.
