From Boys to Men: A Correlation Between Recruiting and the NFL Draft

When it comes to college football recruiting there are some that love it and some that say it's overrated. In this day and age, young football players are becoming sensations and creating media frenzies before they even step onto a college campus. So I figured we should take a look to see if the best college prospects are turning into the best pro prospects. When you start looking over many of the top players in this years draft you do realize that many were also big time recruits as well. They didn't just become great overnight. They've usually been asserting their dominance throughout their playing careers. That's not to say that if a player is a great recruit he will become a great pro prospect. For every Tim Tebow there is a Mitch Musain, for every C.J. Spiller there is a Charlie Jones and so on and so on. Recruiting, like the NFL Draft, is an inexact science.
