Warren Moon should be considered one of the greatest quarterbacks in NFL history. Maybe not No. 1, but certainly in the top 10-20 range. Stats-wise, he's one of the greatest quarterbacks to ever play in the NFL.
Moon started off in the CFL and led the Edmonton Eskimos to five Grey Cups; Moon played in the CFL for five years.
After such success, Moon was bound for the NFL. The question was: who was going to get him?
There was a huge bidding war for Moon's services, and the Houston Oilers were the lucky winners.
Moon and head coach Jerry Glanville were a perfect fit.
Glanville showed off Moon's big arm during his time in Houston, and Moon led the Oilers to multiple playoff berths but never reached the Super Bowl.
Moon was eventually traded to the Minnesota Vikings where he passed for 4,000 yards.
