Gary Kubiak Talks Peyton Manning, Defense After Super Bowl 50 Win vs. Panthers

The Denver Broncos and their dominant defense controlled Super Bowl 50 from the opening possession and never trailed on the way to a 24-10 victory over the Carolina Panthers. While the defense deserved all of the attention it received in the aftermath, first-year head coach Gary Kubiak earned some credit of his own for the way he led his team to the mountaintop.
He praised his defense and quarterback Peyton Manning after the win but also made sure his kids understood how important Sunday's Super Bowl victory was because it was his first as a head coach, per Fox's Kirk Morrison during a Sirius XM interview:
Kubiak added more individual accomplishments than the victory to his resume. ESPN Stats & Info noted he became the fourth head coach to win a championship in his first season with a team, and NFL on ESPN pointed out his legacy as a Broncos player:
