Germain Ifedi Injury: Updates on Seahawks OG’s Ankle and Return

Seattle Seahawks rookie guard Germain Ifedi is expected to miss multiple games after suffering a high-ankle sprain.

Ifedi Expected to Miss 'A Few Weeks' Thursday, Sept. 8 According to NFL Network's Ian Rapoport, the injury happened in practice Wednesday, and he will be out of action for "a few weeks."
The Seahawks took Ifedi with the No. 31 overall selection in the 2016 NFL draft out of Texas A&M, and he was expected to be a key part of the offensive line at right guard.
With Ifedi out of action, it is likely another rookie will take his place in the form of third-round pick Rees Odhiambo.
The former Boise State standout is listed as Seattle's primary backup at both guard positions on the depth chart, and he figures to be thrown into active duty in Week 1 against the Miami Dolphins.
Offensive line was already the Seahawks' biggest question mark before Ifedi's injury, and it becomes an even larger issue now.
