Green Bay Packers: Why Mike Neal Could Be a Blessing in Disguise

Yes yes, I know. Mike Neal was not the biggest need in this draft.
Ted Thompson could have traded up to get Hughes or Kindle and from what I understand, he didn't even try.
So let's analyse what Thompson is attempting to do with Mike Neal.
There is question if we'll have all four big guys next season. Whom of which are Cullen Jenkings, Ryan Pickett, Jonny Jolly and B.j. Raji.
Justin Harrell has failed to play a full season since 2007.
Jonny Jolly has legal issues that could put him behind bars for 20 years. At the very least, he will be suspended for a few games.
Mike Neal is good at double-teaming. So in theory, He could add depth to the defensive line, and eliminate the need for another OLB.
Remember Brad Jones?
Jones is an unproven player, but he showed that he was capable of rushing the quarterback.
With Mike Neal in the mix, it will provide more room for Jones to pressure the quarterback.
