Iron Man Brett Favre: Will His Surgery Finally Stop Him?

As I’m sure we have all heard, Brett Favre has decide to under go arthroscopic ankle surgery. According to mass media and Favre’s doctor it will take about 4 weeks to heal and be on the field. About the 20th of June he will be playable, right around training camp time.
I did some snooping on American Academy of Orthopedic Surgeons‘ website. According to them it takes 4 to 8 weeks to heal as long as there is no serious reconstructive surgery going on. Then it goes on to tell us that any high impact jobs or activities will take a very long time to take part in although, he will be able to get around unassisted.
Last I checked being a quarterback in the NFL qualifies as a high impact job or activity.
Brett Favre obviously intends to return to the Vikings if he is getting the surgery to be able play. At the same time, wouldn’t it have been smarter for him to have gotten the surgery right at last season's end?
Now he is counting on the minim...
