It’s Bye Week: The Cleveland Browns Need To Use It Wisely

For the Cleveland Browns, the bye week has come at the perfect time. How they use their week off will determine how successful they are in the last nine games.
Getting the walking wounded healthy is always nice. An extra week to prepare for the New England Patriots won’t hurt either. I’m anxious to see what defensive coordinator Rob Ryan comes up with for the Patriots.
On offense, the Browns have added some new players recently and the extra time should help them in learning the system. Wide receiver Demetrious Williams and running backs Mike Bell and Thomas Clayton need to be able to contribute.
Eric Mangini needs to stop the mind games and announce Colt McCoy as his starter. The extra time will really help in McCoy’s development.
Forget about keeping New England in the dark about who’s playing quarterback for the Browns as well as avoiding a QB controversy. Any indecision by the head coach sends the wrong message to the team.
