Jacquizz Rodgers Released by Bears: Latest Details, Comments and Reaction

The Chicago Bears have cut running back Jacquizz Rodgers while paring their roster down to 53 players. 
Larry Mayer of the Bears' official website confirmed the move. 
The 26-year-old Rodgers has never caught on as an NFL running back. The Atlanta Falcons drafted him in 2011, and he spent four seasons with them before signing with the Bears in March 2015. 
After appearing in just five games last season, Rodgers landed on injured reserve after suffering a broken arm during an October game against the Kansas City Chiefs.

He did seem like a perfect veteran presence for the Bears to keep on the roster with Jeremy Langford taking over starting duties from Matt Forte, who signed with the New York Jets, and Ka'Deem Carey.
