Jadeveon Clowney Injury: Updates on Texans OLB’s Knee and Return

Houston Texans star Jadeveon Clowney is recovering from soreness in his knee, per Aaron Wilson of the Houston Chronicle. It's unclear when he will be able to return to the field.

Latest on Clowney's Recovery Friday, Aug. 12 Daniel Gotera of KHOU-TV reported Clowney stayed home with a sore knee as the team traveled to San Francisco to take on the 49ers on Sunday. 
Gotera added Texans head coach Bill O'Brien hopes to have Clowney back for next week's preseason game against the New Orleans Saints.
Clowney Expected Back 'As Soon as Next Week' Thursday, Aug. 11 Wilson noted the Texans are using caution with the outside linebacker, especially since he "has a history of knee problems and underwent microfracture knee surgery and surgery on his meniscus as a rookie." Even with that caution, Wilson reported he could return to practice next week because he is "making steady progress."
