Jan Jorgensen Still Hoping for a Shot

I just spoke with Former BYU DE Jan Jorgensen this morning. Though it’s not looking good, he and his agent are still hoping that an NFL team will give him a shot.
Jorgensen says that he has been in contact with teams including the Jacksonville Jaguars and the Atlanta Falcons, regarding bringing him in for individual workouts.
Teams typically conduct rookie mini-camps during the first two weekends following the draft. Many teams held their rookie camps last weekend while Jorgensen was still sitting in limbo hoping to hear some good news from a team.
Jorgensen says that the combination of playing out of position in college and not performing well at the BYU Pro Day leading up to the draft has really hurt his chances.
BYU plays a 3-4 defensive scheme, but NFL teams consider him a more of a 4-3 type defensive end or outside linebacker in the 3-4. Both positions obviously require significant speed, however, the all-time leading sack man in Mountain Wes...
