Janoris Jenkins: Why He Is Going Back To Florida

ESPN.com has reported that Florida cornerback Janoris Jenkins is going to go back to school for his senior season.

Jenkins was generally regarded as the third best cornerback prospect going into April's NFL Draft, behind LSU's Patrick Peterson and Nebraska's Prince Amukamara, but he did have some question marks around him going into the draft.

Specifically he had a shoulder problem which required surgery before the Gators bowl game against Penn State on New Year's Day. In the ESPN.com report they say that the recovery time from the surgery would have affected his draft preparations.

In a statement about his decision Jenkins said "I spent some time with my family and coach [Will] Muschamp and came to the conclusion it was in my best interest to return to school."

No doubt this is a major coup for new Florida head coach Will Muschamp who took over for Urban Meyer after the Outback Bowl. The Gators won ...
