Jerick McKinnon Injury: Updates on Vikings Star’s Ankle and Return

Minnesota Vikings running back Jerick McKinnon suffered an ankle injury against the Philadelphia Eagles in Week 7. It is unclear when he will be able to return.

McKinnon Out vs. Bears Saturday, Oct. 29  The Vikings announced McKinnon will not play in Week 8 against the Chicago Bears on Monday.
However, McKinnon did say his ankle feels "a lot better," per Chris Tommason of the St. Paul Pioneer Press.
This is a blow to the Minnesota's depth if McKinnon is forced to miss extensive time. He burst onto the scene in 2014 as a rookie and rushed for 538 yards in 11 games. He likely would have led the team in rushing yards if he didn’t suffer an injury in November, and he even got involved in the passing game with 135 receiving yards.
However, even with Adrian Peterson hitting injured reserve on Sept. 23 with a knee injury, McKinnon has just 217 yards on 68 attempts this season. The Vikings will now need to ...
