The New York Jets (13-5) emerged from the No. 6 seed to defeat the No. 1-seeded New England Patriots (14-3) 28-21 and hand Tom Brady a second consecutive, "one-and-out" playoff appearance!
The New York Jets, with some motivational inspiration from Dennis Byrd, came to New England and conquered the AFC Eastern Division Champions to advance to their fourth AFC Championship appearance since the 1970 merger and a second consecutive opportunity to bag the Lamar Hunt Trophy and a ticket to Super Bowl XLV!
For the first time in the team's 51-year history, the New York Jets will play once again on the road in Pittsburgh to meet Ben Roethlisberger for the right to represent the American Football Conference in the Super Bowl.
