Joey Porter Would Be Perfect Fit With Jets

The Jets don't have the premier pass rusher to complete their defense. Joey Porter is the perfect solution to their pressure woes.
Porter isn't officially a free agent until the signing period begins next month, and when he is expect the Jets to be in hot pursuit of the veteran.
Porter, 32, racked up 17.5 sacks in 2008 and is tailor made for the 3-4. Bryan Thomas, 30, has done a respectable job but the Jets selected Vernon Gholston to eventually, alongside Calvin Pace, spark the pass rush.
Gholston hasn't had a single sack in his first two seasons.
Porter was being phased out in Miami last season, played in a rotation, and still tallied nine sacks, more than any Jet. Porter played all but three of his 11 seasons in the league with the Steelers.
Porter is a Steelers product and has AFC North experience under his belt. He is outspoken and will bring even more physicality to the Jets. Rex Ryan would roll out the red carpet for Joey Porter.
