Jon Kitna Is Foolish Signing by Desperate Dallas Cowboys

The Dallas Cowboys have reportedly signed former NFL quarterback Jon Kitna, and while they do need a backup quarterback in the event Tony Romo can't play, this is a signing that makes zero sense for the team.
After their exciting win over the Washington Redskins, things were looking good for the Cowboys.  Romo had just led the team to a fourth-quarter comeback, and they were a win away from the NFC East title and a spot in the playoffs.  However, news came out on Dec. 23 that Romo was out for the season with a back injury, according to ESPN's Adam Schefter.
But just one day later, the NFL: Around the League tweeted that Romo had received an epidural and the Cowboys were waiting to see how he responded before making a decision on whether or not he will play.
