Jordy Nelson Injury Report: Why He Shouldn’t Play for the Packers This Week

Green Bay has a tough decision to make on Sunday against Arizona.  The decision is whether or not to play Jordy Nelson, who is listed as questionable for the game.
Nelson tested his hamstring on Friday, but he did not practice and will be a game-time decision on Sunday (via ESPN).  He missed last week as well with the same injury.
Nelson will be eager to play, but the Packers should seriously consider having him sit out this week.
Hamstring injuries are notorious for lingering and are easy to re-injure when going full speed.  If the Packers bench him again, he would have two entire weeks to get healthy, thanks to the bye week.  With that much time, it would be almost a certainty that he could be back near 100 percent for their game against Detroit.
If Nelson sits out again, the wide receivers could still perform well.  While we saw them struggle a bit against Jacksonville, I think they would still be able to get going against the Cardinals. ...
