Josh Freeman to Start For Vikings in Week 8 vs. Packers

The Minnesota Vikings can't seem to get anything going in a positive direction no matter who starts at quarterback, but the team is sticking with Josh Freeman under center for Week 8.
ESPN NFL first reported Tuesday:
Freeman will try to get the 1-5 Vikings back on track against the NFC North-rival Green Bay Packers in Week 8's Sunday Night Football showcase at the Metrodome.
It's going to be a difficult task for the division's cellar-dwellers to dig out of such a deep hole and even manage a respectable season, especially with such instability at the game's most important position.
After being released by the Tampa Bay Buccaneers due to irreconcilable differences with Bucs head coach Greg Schiano, the 25-year-old Freeman was picked up by Minnesota a few days later on Oct. 6.
