Josh Freeman’s Top Landing Destinations After Release by Tampa Bay Buccaneers

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers surprisingly released quarterback Josh Freeman on Thursday, effectively cutting ties with the last remaining vestiges of their 2009 draft class.
Freeman, the No. 17 overall pick in that draft, is now on the open market and may end up getting another gig quite soon.
While he never found the success that the Tampa Bay brass envisioned when they selected him out of Kansas State, there’s no doubt that he still has the upside to be a star in this league.
Let’s take a look at a few teams that could take a chance on his talents.
 
Oakland Raiders
The Raiders can’t seem to find a signal-caller that can both contribute and stay healthy.
While Terrelle Pryor has been decent as a starter, he doesn’t seem to have the chops to be a Super Bowl-winning quarterback in the NFL. He’s a great runner, but his passing ability leaves much to be desired.
