Josh Morgan’s Future as a Redskin Hinges on This Season

For sixth-year veteran wide receiver Josh Morgan, the upcoming season is one of huge importance.
Make it gargantuan importance.
For a 28-year-old wide receiver with mediocre productivity, this season is the demarcation between being a Redskin for the rest of his career or a career journeyman in the vain of Brandon Lloyd, Donte Stallworth, or Brandon Stokley. All three players mentioned have enjoyed long careers, with productive seasons scattered here and there, and with pit stops in numerous cities.
For Morgan, a Washington, D.C. native, he would love to spend the rest of his playing days donning the burgundy and gold.
In the 2012 free agency period, Morgan agreed to a contract worth $12 million over the first two years, with $7.5 million guaranteed. His full contract is for five years, but the final three years can be voided. Morgan's 2012 season was humdrum at best. He recorded 48 receptions for 510 yards and only two touchdowns.
