Lions’ Ziggy Ansah Delivers 94,000 Water Bottles to Flint, Michigan

In the wake of tragedy, there are often some of the greatest displays of human generosity.
Such is the case with the water crisis in Flint, Michigan. Detroit Lions star Ziggy Ansah wanted to ensure he would be part of that kind of benevolence.
The Pro Bowl defensive end purchased and delivered to those in need 1,000 times his jersey number in water bottles—94,000 bottles or roughly 12,411 gallons of clean water.
And it was about more than just doing the "right thing" or giving back to the Michigan community—this was something personal.
It's that sort of willingness to honor with aid not only those who support him but also his beginnings that identifies the 26-year-old as a stand-up guy.
Athletes using their status to help and bring awareness to issues they care about will never get old, and this gesture exemplifies that perfectly. Round of applause for you, Ziggy.
