Love of the Game: Chad Jones Won’t Let Crash Keep Him Out Forever

On June 25th, 2010, at around 6:15 A.M., a rookie's dream to make it big and star in the NFL took a bad turn.
Chad Jones, who was drafted by the New York Giants as a safety out of Louisiana State University (LSU), was driving around Canal Street in New Orleans (according to WDSU.com) when he lost control of his SUV and smashed into a street pole. The police have began an investigation on the accident and details will be announced soon.

This article is not to focus on the horrific injuries that Chad Jones sustained, which include multiple fractures of his left leg, a shattered tibia and fibula, and, even worse, exposed arteries and nerves. This article is to focus on a kid who never stepped onto a professional field, almost had his leg amputated, and, despite all this, wants and can see himself playing football in the NFL one day.
