Malcom Floyd Placed on IR by Chargers, out for the Season

San Diego Chargers wide receiver Malcom Floyd won't be catching any more passes from Philip Rivers in 2013. On Tuesday, the team placed Floyd on injured reserve, ending his season. 
NFL.com's Ian Rapoport posted word of the disappointing news on Twitter:

As Fox Sports 1 NFL insider Mike Garafolo shares, there is some good news to take out of this unfortunate situation for Floyd:
Floyd, 32, sustained a neck injury in San Diego's Week 2 clash with the Philadelphia Eagles. He took a scary hit from linebacker DeMeco Ryans and had to be carted off the field with his neck stabilized on a stretcher.
