Mario Edwards Injury: Updates on Raiders DE’s Hip and Return

Oakland Raiders defensive end Mario Edwards suffered a hip injury during the team's preseason opener against the Arizona Cardinals on Friday. It is unclear exactly when he will be able to return.

Latest on Edwards' Status  Sunday, Aug. 14 Mike Florio of Pro Football Talk reported Edwards is expected to miss four to six weeks with a strained hip.
On Saturday, Vic Tafur of the San Francisco Chronicle reported Edwards' hip injury wasn't expected to be serious.
On Friday, Florio noted Edwards initially walked off the field after suffering the injury but was later carted to the locker room from the sidelines.
